Last year, NCL introduced the shining Norwegian Star to Hawaii. It was built to be the ultimate in Freestyle Cruising SM. This year we’re rolling out the red carpet for her sister ship, Norwegian Dawn, the Star of the East Coast.
Dining Facilities
Aboard Norwegian Dawn you'll discover NCL has rolled out the red carpet for its guests. This is Freestyle Cruising at its finest. They've created a dining atmosphere that's as free-spirited as the islands and cities we visit. Guests can not only select from 10 spectacular restaurants with cuisine choices from all around the world, they also have the freedom to dine whenever they want. They're welcome to come early and stay late because evening hours extend from 5:30 'til midnight. For casual dining they have two cafés that offer savoury choices around the clock and 24-hour room service. And guests are encouraged to dress according to their style, not ours. There are optional formal nights, and throughout the cruise, resort casual attire is always appropriate for dinner.
Norwegian Dawn's roster of 10 restaurants has a very international flavour. The fact is no other cruise line has more Freestyle dining choices. From the French elegance of Le Bistro to the exotic Asian allure of Bamboo, the Dawn will treat its guests to a world of culinary options. The Dawn will also be premiering Cagney's Steak House. With generous steak and filet portions fit for king-sized appetites, and delicious seafood, lamb and chicken dishes, this restaurant is bound to be a big hit. Staterooms
The Garden Villa: Star treatment aboard the Dawn: It's an unprecedented achievement. No other cruise line offers the luxury of Norwegian Dawn's 5,350-square-foot Garden Villas. When guests demand the best, they get it. These exquisite rooftop villas feel like Italian palazzos with elegant furnishings, fine artwork, a private butler and 360 degrees sweeping views of the ocean and spectacular ports of call. Inside, guests can relax in the graceful dining room where meals are served in style. They can select from any of the onboard restaurants, or design their own menu. In the living room, guests enjoy a state-of-the-art entertainment center. Within each of the three spacious bedrooms are floor-to-ceiling windows and a lavish bathroom with designer lighting, glass countertops, whirlpool tub and separate shower. And that's not all. Outside, the extravagance continues. Grapevines twine trellises, statuary and stone pillars in the lush gardens. There's private open-air dining, a personal outdoor Jacuzzi, steam rooms and secluded areas for sunbathing and relaxing.
Suite dreams greet the Dawn Norwegian Dawn's: Exquisite suites and staterooms have been meticulously designed for spaciousness, style, adaptability and comfort. From the luxurious surroundings of our three-room Owner's Suites to the charm and value of our Inside Staterooms, no detail has been overlooked. Each stateroom has cherry-wood detailing, TV, refrigerator, safe, duvet and an oversized bathroom with shower. Guests can choose staterooms or suites with a private balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows or picture windows. Many of the staterooms are interconnected so families can enjoy togetherness as well as privacy.
Owner's Suite: This is the window to the world. Expansive views from a private balcony enhance the beautiful furnishings within. The elegant bedroom with a queen-sized bed is separate from the living room with dining table. Bathroom has shower and whirlpool tub.
Mini Suite: Guests love the spaciousness and elegant design of this Mini-Suite. Plush sitting area, private ocean view balcony, luxury bath and shower, and two lower beds that convert to a queen.
Ocean view Stateroom with Balcony: Warm tones and ocean views enhance this spacious stateroom. Sliding glass doors lead out to a private balcony. Bedroom and living area with cherry-wood panelling. Two lower beds, wardrobe/dressing table and bathroom with shower.
Inside Stateroom: Guests enjoy the best of both worlds – this cosy stateroom combines comfort with affordability. Charming sitting area and two lower beds that convert to a double.
